Registration Cost

The Registration cost for tackle football (Ages 7-13) is $300. The registration cost for flag (Ages 4-6) is $175. Your registration fee includes Game Jersey, Game Socks & Mouthguard.

How are teams made?

Teams are are made by districts. Currently we have 4 districts. West/Central Windsor, East Windsor, Lasalle & Essex. Team numbers are dependent on number of registrations in that division. For instance, if 80 players register and we have 4 teams that would be 20 players per team. Team A has 17 players, Team B has 21 players, Team C has 18 players and Team D has 24 players. Team B would lose 1 player, Team D would lose 4 players in order to even up the teams. This is done by TIMESTAMP of registration. Last in, first out.

Where are practices?

Practices would be somehwere in the district that your player is assigned to a team. If your player is on the Essex team, practices are held in Essex. Etc

Where are games?

All games are at MicMac park on Sundays. We try to do an Under the Lights game on a Wednesday, that being dependent on facilities.

Do you have Medics on game days?

Yes, we have 1 medic per field. They have the final say in any player injury on whether or not the player will be allowed back in the game.

Is there an Allstar game?

Yes. There are tryouts held during the season and a team of 35 players are chosen to represent Windsor in the Friendship Bowl vs London. Every other year the game is held in Windsor and London. There is an extra cost which covers the custom jersey and possibly transportation to the game. (If in London.)

Is there any refunds?

There are no refunds after July 1st. This is due to uniforms being ordered & league expenses being paid out etc.

Are there subsidies available?

Absolutely. Outside of Jumpstart, Kidsport and Pathway 2 Potential, we have some donors who will pay for a limited amount of registrations. Please apply for all of those first and then if you still require assistance email us at windsorminorfootball@gmail.com. We leave no player behind.

Whats a schedule look like? Practices, games etc.

We leave it up to the head coach to decide when they would like to practice. Typically most coaches practice Tuesday, Thursday nights 6-8P and Saturday 10A. Mites practice Friday nights 6 to 8p. Games are Sundays at MicMac 9A Mite, 10AM Tyke, 12P Atom/Peewee and 2P Atom/Peewee. We also try to schedule a Wednesday night game during the season for all teams.

What equipment do I need and what is provided?

The league provides game jersey, game socks and mouth guard with registration. Also we provide helmet and shoulder pads to use for the season. You must provide pants (There must be 7 pads in them) we recommend the 7 pad integrated, cleats and practice jersey.
